Having a wedding on or around St.Patrick’s Day can be really fun. You can list the parade as something to do in the area before the wedding or even make it part of your bachelorette festivities. You can easily use green in your bridal party and decorations. Not to mention all the Irish toasts and symbols at your disposal. Here are some of our suggestions to incorporate the holiday into your wedding.
Dress your bridesmaids in green cocktail dresses with gold accessories. If you’d rather green be the main focus in your decor, then try black dresses with green shawls and clutches. For jewelry, gift your bridesmaids bracelets, necklaces, or rings with the Claddagh symbol, Celtic knots or four leaf clovers.
For decorations, try green table linens with lace runners. Incorporate Celtic designs onto candles, menus, or escort cards. For food, add an Irish meal as an option, such as corned beef and cabbage. Be sure to have some Irish whiskey or an Irish beer stocked at the bar. For entertainment, it’s up to you if you want to go all out with bagpipes, Irish step dancers, or a photo booth with leprechaun accessories.
