One of the most iconic bathing suits is the red high cut bathing suit from Baywatch. Many gorgeous woman rocked that lifeguard look including Pamela Anderson and Yasmine Bleeth. For this throwback Thursday we took inspiration from this suit and made a modern look that you can wear.

Updating a one piece suit is rather easy since there are so many options out there. You can choose one with sexy cutouts or switch it up with a two piece tankini. We opted for a two piece that had a t-strap collar and high waisted bottoms, all still in red of course. This swimsuit is still super sexy, probably more practical for swimming in the ocean compared to the original one piece, and is more versatile to incorporate into off the beach looks.

This suit can easily transition into an outfit for a restaurant along the boardwalk with the right coverup. We chose a black high waisted sheer chiffon skirt to do the trick. It has a short base layer with a sheer overlay that keeps it beachy. This combo of bikini and skirt leaves you with a little bit of midriff which is in style right now.

Pair this look with a straw tote and some cute summer sandals or heels and you’re all set for drinks and dinner.
