Around the country kids have been heading back to school. They have their new backpacks, supplies and clothes. Pretend you’re heading back to school and treat yourself with a new look.

What’s your first day outfit going to look like? We chose a deep red sleeveless cardigan with fringe detail. It’s great for layering over multiple outfits. We then added a pair of boot cut jeans since they have a bit of a flare, which is coming back in style. Next we added a cute new pair of boots. Again these can be worn with multiple outfits, under jeans or over skinny jeans.

Now that you have the basics, it’s time to accessorize. Add some jewelry to your look. Perhaps a watch necklace so you won’t be late for your next class. You’ll also need a new “backpack” and we thought a brown crossbody bag would be perfect. It holds a surprising amount of items, is convenient to wear, and looks chic. This bag is available in a variety of colors so if you’re looking for something with more of a pop check it out in red, yellow, or blue.

Lastly, don’t forget any new “supplies” like some make up brushes, a wallet, or an iPod to help you start the year right.
