September is ovarian cancer awareness month and the cause is represented by the color teal. This disease strikes women of all ages with nearly 22,000 women being diagnosed each year. Approximately one in 75 women will be diagnosed in her lifetime. This cancer is difficult to detect in its early stages and difficult to treat. We want to do our part in fighting for the cause by raising awareness through this blog and on our website. Also, for every teal item sold in the month of September, Chicastic will donate 10% of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society. Women need to support women.
