It’s astounding, time is fleeting, madness takes its toll…  It’s the 4oth anniversary of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry and even Meat Loaf starred in this memorable risque musical. We’d like to update Janet Weiss’ look for this throwback Thursday but a good portion of the film she’s just wearing a bra, slip and white high heels. At the end of the movie she joins the rest of the cast in a black corset, thigh highs and heels. We’re going to embrace this look, minus the garter belt and the white face makeup.

As mentioned above, this sexy look requires just a few pieces. We started with a black lace up corset that has a modesty panel. You can lace up the piece with or without the panel and therefore have the choice of whether or not to have exposed skin in the back. Next we added the black thigh highs. We chose a pair that had a nice lace detail at the top to give it a more sophisticated look. Lastly we added a pair of t-strap peep toe rhinestone high heels. There may not be the extravagant face makeup but the shoes can still put on a show. For those that are a little more reserved, like Janet in the beginning of the film, we added a black satin robe.
