Cruella De Vil, if she doesn’t scare you, no evil thing will…what a great Halloween costume! Have fun with over the top black, white and red pieces and maybe even a few polka dots.

This costume doesn’t need to be exact to the cartoon movie. Realistically not many people are going to be purchasing a floor length fur coat and then making sure it also has a red lining. This costume is more about playing with dramatic pieces in the key colors mentioned above. Although one item that’s a must have is a black and white wig. You can purchase one that already has the color split or make your own. To make your own, buy a white wig and spray paint half of it black.

For the rest of your look, have fun! For our version of Cruella, we started with a black and white polka dot corset and paired it with a sleek black pencil skirt. We’re going for sexy sophistication. We needed some fur for the look so we went with a white fur jacket, faux of course. To keep costs down, try a faux fur scarf or even some faux fur from the fabric store that you fashion into a cape.

For our pops of red, we chose long red gloves and some sparkly red rhinestone high heels. We also love the idea of a red clutch or purse that you can have a stuffed animal dalmatian peeking out of. Another fun piece is Cruella’s long cigarette. If you don’t want to buy one, make one with a wooden dowel and some paint or colored duct tape.
