What to Wear to Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it!  For many people, this is a time to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. For others, it’s a time to be super stressed while enjoying time with family and friends. Chicastic is here to eliminate at least one source of stress…what are you going to wear!? We’ll help you find something you’ll adore and even you mother-in-law will love!

This time of year, there are two major factors that come into play when it comes to a late Fall wardrobe; colors and layers. You should stick for the most part to darker colors and earth tones, but that doesn’t mean boring! You can always add a pop of color, without looking like you’re ready for Easter Sunday already. Wearing those colors, like browns, maroons, and dark grey, also opens up a world of possibilities for jewelry and accessories. Layers are important because the weather can be unpredictable this time of year and you may not want to spend the next four months in oversized sweaters. It’s always good to have a few stand-by pieces that can layer with almost anything, like your favorite cardigan .

If you’re attending a formal Thanksgiving celebration, a long sleeve dress in a darker color, with a pair of our heels, in a color like silver or gold to make your outfit a pop, would be perfect. If you can’t find a long sleeved dress, layer with a cardigan that matches your outfit color of choice. Back to School!

It’s that time of year where stores stop selling pool noodles and large displays filled with notebooks and #2 pencils take their place  That’s right, it’s Back to School time! Haven’t figured out what you’re going to wear? Don’t worry, Chicastic has everything you need to kick-off the semester in style!

We’re loving so many of the fall 2015 fashion trends. Here are some of our favorites and how you can incorporate them into your wardrobe!

Neon, which had its heyday in the 80’s is making a comeback but in a more sophisticated way. Paired with neutral colors such as gray, navy, or black, use neon as a pop of color to liven up an outfit while avoiding going full Saved by the Bell. Our neon scarves and clutches are the perfect way to add a hint of neon without going overboard.
Patterned hosiery and leggings are also big for this fall. Basic black stockings will always be in style, but fresh colors and geometric patterns will give your outfit the jolt it needs.
