It’s a week before Thanksgiving and you still don’t know what to wear. This is a holiday that’s all about eating. So how do you dress cute while still comfortable enough to fill your stomach with delicious turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing?

No need to worry, Chicastic has the perfect advice for you! Here are the do’s and don’ts for what to wear to this holiday dinner.

DON’T

Wearing white anything to a holiday dinner is risky. Especially Thanksgiving. There are so many colorful foods and drinks that you have a high chance of spilling it on you.

DO

Instead of white, opt for darker colors. Deep plums, reds, greens, and blacks are perfect colors for this season. And if you do end up spilling something on you it won’t be as noticeable.

DON’T

Try to stay away from tight clothing. It looks great when you arrive to the dinner party but you don’t want to be sitting at the table feeling like your clothes are going to pop off.

DO

Wear loose shirts or even a dress. This will allow you to fill up on food without filling out over your clothes. You’ll feel 10x more comfortable and confident. Plus you won’t want to skip over dessert for the sake of fashion.
