This is Halloween!

It’s almost October, which means that Halloween is right around the corner! We’ve got a couple of simple costume ideas and tips for you that look amazing and are a snap to put together. Chicastic has what you need to be gore-geous (see what we did here) this Halloween!

People love our corsets, especially around Halloween, even more are those that lend themselves to a costume. With the right bottoms, you could go as someone from the old west in this satin ruffle bustier corset. It comes in black and white which means you can accessorize to your heart’s content. Be a super hero or villain with this red and black patent leather corset. Channel Ant Man or Harley Quinn depending if you’re good or evil. Put a new spin on C-3PO with this stunning gold patent leather bustier. Let your imagination run wild putting the rest together.

Want to put a modern spin on a classic costume, like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz? Pair a blue gingham dress with our ruby red t-strap heels. Dorothy herself would be jealous.  Ditch the basket but stay in step with the character with this chevron straw clutch. Toto can’t fit in there but your phone, wallet and keys sure can.

Take inspiration from an accessory and build a costume around it. For example, these thigh highs with a bow work perfectly for a French Maid outfit. Or these tights with the cute red bow detail that are a great way to start off a Little Red Riding Hood costume.

Costume Ideas, Tips, Tricks and Treats!

Need help with your costume this year? Not interested in buying an expensive but cheaply made costume you’ll only wear once? Chicastic has all kinds of great ideas and tips so you can have the best costume whether you’re going as a super hero, a legion of the un-dead or anything in between, with items you can wear well after October 31st!

After years of being considered just a “geek thing,” Star Wars is now hotter than ever with the highly anticipated opening of “The Force Awakens.” Han Solo, the Millennium Falcon’s resident hero and bad boy is a simple costume to construct. Start with our open front cardigan in navy blue. It mimics Solo’s vest in a more feminine way.Pair with dark pants and and an off white top and you’re pretty much set. Create you own Princess Leia using our chiffon skirt in white and a flowy white top, instead of the cheap costume store version.

Are Zombies more your thing? Fan of the Walking Dead? If you’re crafty, add a pair of Angel wings to this top in black, for a zombie slaying Daryl Dixon look.  If you are more interested in being a Zombie, make your own fake blood by adding a few drops of red food coloring and one drop of blue to corn syrup and stir (add more color if needed). Once you apply it to the areas of the skin desired, gore it up by adding coffee grounds to those areas.

Storybook characters are always a great choice for costumes. Because they so are recognizable while also having many different interpretations over the years,  you can easily put your own spin on them while still being recognized. Looking to do a sexy version of any of these characters? Then our corsets are right for you! You can be Tinkerbell OR Peter Pan in our new emerald green satin corset. Or try the same style but in light pink for Glinda from the Wizard of Oz, or in silver grey for the Tin Man.

Whatever you decide to be, make sure to check out Chicastic first for your costume and accessory needs!
