Some of you may think that mixing different animal prints together is impossible. It can be quite doable if you know what you’re doing…
Mixing and matching patterns can definitely be tricky. It is very much like matching colors and uses many of the same elements in order to do so successfully and yet is also more complex. When it comes to mixing animal print there is a way to make it possible.
The first rule about wearing more than one pattern in general is to be subtle. Too much of both will definitely overpower your look so you will have to find just the right balance. One way to go is use prints that use the same color scheme, such as black and brown or black and white. This way the patterns essentially “match” and you can break up the outfit with solid colored pieces and accessories that either offset or tone down the overall look. One thing you can do for instance is say wear a black and white cheetah print top with a neutral snakeskin clutch under a solid cardigan and with a solid colored pant to add balance.
Another thing you can do is mix prints that are the same or similar but use differing color palettes so that there is still some symmetry there but is made all the more dynamic and interesting. You wouldn’t want to wear one thing right over another so it’s best to choose your pieces wisely. If you’re going with a pant and top that feature patterns, then break it up with a belt, bag, scarf or even a combination of all three. You can use a neutral color like beige or black that will always be safe but bold colors can work too that will make more of a statement without making your outfit look too busy.
While it is doable to perhaps combine two large pieces featuring a pattern together, they can be used to much better effect if used more subtly. Such as in the example above, one piece is a larger clothing and one is an accessory. This way, you can still mix and match if the look isn’t working for you and the smaller pieces works more to accent and offset the larger one. Wearing an animal print top with a different patterned shoe or bag is a good example of this use. Also, the pieces are not too close to one another so they do not clash. Adding pieces of clothing and accessories puts distance between them and balances out your entire look.

Timeless is always in, so red is always a safe bet for any major occasion like prom. Here are some ways to make sure you make the right statement and let the red speak for itself.
Red makes a perfectly bold and timeless statement all on its own. It is no wonder that any prom dress in any shade of the color is bound to be a knockout and turn some heads. Since the color on its own is already eye-catching, it can be difficult deciding how exactly to properly accessorize it. The key to achieving a perfectly balanced look is to choose the right pieces and the right amount of them.
Since this color is already so bold, it would be best to stick with classic metallics such as silver or gold, and other accessories in similar neutral tones like black, cream, white, beige, or even brown or navy blue. A simple silver or gold chain necklace and matching earrings is a timeless look that will go with any dress. If you have a more vintage looking piece or even one that is simple and you want an elegant evening look, then pearls will go wonderfully with any shade of red. They add a touch of class and character without overshadowing the color of your prom dress and add an air of old Hollywood glamour that never goes out of style. When it comes to pearls, it is still important to choose your accessories wisely. If you’re wearing a choker or even a tiered 20’s inspired string of pearls, then studded earrings will work best. If you’re opting to go for a pearl bracelet instead then larger, longer earrings will make up for the lack of necklace and balance out your look. Another option is to choose one solid statement piece. A statement necklace works best with a low-cut or sweetheart neckline, and especially if you are wearing a sleeveless dress. A necklace, especially a choker or one that rests on your collarbone, will highlight your bare neck and shoulders while balancing the neckline of your dress as well.
Additional accessories can be a bit troublesome too, but keeping it simple will work best. If you are going with a pearl theme, then a white satin clutch will match nicely. It will add to the look of the pearls, matching it in color and sheen, but will not detract with added embellishment or look too much. You can also choose to accessorize using items that are the exact color of your dress or are perhaps a shade or two darker. This way, you can add depth and dimension to your prom look with minimal effort. Remember, red is a powerful color and can speak for itself. Adding subtle accessories will truly allow this sort of piece to dazzle on your special day.

Embrace the spring with new colored polishes and purses. Add that subtle accent to maximize the season’s fresh new looks.
It’s time to break out of the dreary clutches of winter and walk into spring with open arms- adorned with the appropriate seasonal polishes and purses, of course. Now that your hands are free from the clutches of their gloves and your arms are free of bulky layers to weigh them down, it’s time to show them both off again. While winter is not completely monochrome and it is perfect for shimmery metallics and jewel-tones, spring is about livening things up and adding some fresh new color.
The 2014 pantone color of the year, radiant orchid, is a great place to start. Adding this bright and lively shade to your nails can do wonders to an ensemble. It will instantly brighten up any look and will add a splash of color. It also works wonderfully as a clutch. An accessory like this is subtle but eye catching, and can be manipulated easily. Clutches may be small but they can easily be added in or out of an outfit depending on your mood, but always make for an easy addition. Even colors that are not quite orchid, but are close, such as a traditional rich purple, will work wonderfully. Whether you wear it on your nails, in your hand, or both, this color adds a bit of springtime freshness to any outfit.
Emerald greens are perhaps the most traditional and expected colors to emerge during this season. After all, the snow finally melts to reveal the soon-to-be-green grasses and the trees reclaim their leaves. This color takes center stage and is the focus of rejuvenation come springtime. Whether you go for deeper tones or more pastel ones, green is a safe and appropriate color for the season and goes wonderfully with other neutrals and even other pastels.
But not everything has to be bright and colorful to look fresh. Grey is a fabulous neutral for the season, it isn’t as dark and overwhelming as black and acts as a middle ground between that and brighter whites. Just like any other neutral, wearing grey really provides a great canvas for showcasing other colors. Especially when you plan on mixing and matching nails and a handbag. Grey nails are great because they match any outfit and can accent any handbag, but grey clutches and purses really allow freshly painted nails in reds, greens, purples or pastels to really shine.
Both of these handheld fashion options are great ways to step into spring. They may seem small and subtle but they can go a long way and still make a statement.

Scarves are an essential accessory. Learn how to use a statement scarf to your advantage and liven up your look.
Scarves are an absolutely essential accessory to any woman’s wardrobe. They come in handy in all seasons and there is a fabric and print to match any kind of weather, occasion, and overall ensemble. It is always a good idea to have more than one scarf on hand, and not only that, it is imperative that you have a little variety. If you’re going to have more than one of anything, you should be sure that they are as different as possible, if not just a little bit. This way, these accessories can be worn to match any look you’re going for and can truly maximize your wardrobe. Just like having that one statement bag, necklace, or shoe, having a statement scarf can be just as handy.
A statement scarf can be anything you want it to be. It can be a bold and bright color, a showy pattern or print, or even a special fabric or material. It all depends on your personal style as well as your current collection of scarves. If you generally have dark colors or opt for neutrals, then simply adding a light or otherwise eye-catching color to your repertoire will do nicely without going out of your fashion comfort zone. If you have a rainbow of these accessories already, then a print or a new material may be the option for you.
Bright colors can do a lot to accent an outfit and bring new life to it. If you’re wearing an all dark, all neutral, or otherwise monochrome outfit, then a splash of color can make a world of difference. If you have a good mixture of color worked into your ensemble, then a print or pattern (think leopard print or a multicolored tribal or floral pattern) can break up your outfit while also adding dimension. A silk scarf or a piece that uses metallic fabric can really spruce up an outfit more simply. Even if you choose a neutral, like black or beige, choosing a scarf that is either shimmery, metallic, or even silk can make you look more glamorous without much added effort. The choice is up to you. Choosing an accessory has everything to do with your intended desired effect. For best results, or if you are simply indecisive, then getting a scarf in any of these options will work wonders for your wardrobe and will ensure that you are ready for anything.

Cardigans are indispensable items to any girl’s wardrobe. Keep a few on hand at all times to match any occasion, no matter what the weather is.
Even though spring is here, it does not mean that the cold is gone completely. Layering is just as vital and as fashionable now as it is in the winter time. When the weather is unpredictable and constantly indecisive, shifting from rain to shine or giving us cool mornings and chilly nights with moments of warmth in between, layering definitely comes in handy. And while you may associate sweaters with the bitter chill of winter, they are just as useful (and just as cute) in the spring. A loose cardigan is an indispensable spring item and it is something everyone should make sure to have in their wardrobe.
Cardigans can be worn as an accessory or as a main feature of an outfit. They can be worn with dresses, with a tee and jeans, skirts, and even as a makeshift jacket over a pair of shorts and more summery outfits. Their power really comes from their ability to layer. When the weather is chillier, it is best to wear them with skinny jeans and boots. But they can also be worn when the weather is warmer as well. A cardigan over a spring dress can still be open and breezy in the sun but will protect you from the chill of the wind or in the shade. These handy accessories can also work just as great as a light jacket on cooler summer nights.
Cardigans are one of those wardrobe staples that come in handy when you have a few of them. It’s always handy to have a neutral color to match a majority of your outfits, but it’s just as useful to have some in varying colors. A statement color or print can do a lot to add oomph to a basic outfit if you’re dressing on the run or want to add some flare to an old outfit. Not only that, but they can be used to match any look, whether you’re going for romantic, daring, rocker chic, bohemian and can even extend to the general casual and professional looks. Their versatility is limitless. Wear them simply draped over your outfit, cinch it with a waist belt, layer it with a scarf, or button it up for a more preppy or professional look. These cozy items are perfect for mixing and matching and can do a lot to extend your wardrobe. Be sure you have a few that match your personal style as well as accentuate it.
Scarves are practically useful all year round, especially in Spring. Make sure you have an infinity scarf or any kind of warm wrap around to stay prepared for weather change.
Spring is finally here but that does not mean that the cold is completely gone. Even though the warmer weather is more than welcome, it can still be a bit temperamental and is known to change its mind about the temperature throughout any given day. Spring fashion is all about being prepared and tube scarves are more than ready to take up the challenge. Not only do they serve a practical purpose by keeping us warm, but they also look fabulous and still appear chic.
Staying warm can be fashionable and tube scarves are perfect examples of that. These accessories are incredibly versatile, cute, and totally useful. They can be worn in a variety of ways, with various outfits, to different occasions, and keep us toasty and warm to boot. This is especially useful when planning a spring outfit. Planning an ensemble during the springtime months can be confusing and quite a hassle. The morning and evening may be cold, with warmer, breezy afternoons that are mixes of hot and cool. You might not want to wear a heavy coat but you might not want to bare it all either. This is where the tube scarves come in. They are perfect for layering, and are simultaneously lightweight and warming against the cooling spring winds. Choosing one to go along with an outfit cannot go wrong and can only come in handy.
These handy accessories can be worn with practically any outfit and it is always good to have a few of them on hand. Be sure to cover your bases and appeal to your own style. Have some neutrals, some prints or even some bright colors or differing materials. That way, you are sure to have a scarf to match everything, from your outfit to your mood, and especially the weather. Wear one with an over-sized sweater, a tee shirt and jeans, a dress, along with a cardigan, a blazer, practically anything. These lightweight accessories are also easy to remove and stick in a handbag if they get in the way or become too warm. In any case, it is always handy to have one, and it wouldn’t hurt to keep one in your handbag in case the occasion or the weather calls for one. They are always adorable and are just as comfortable. They are incredibly easy to mix and match with and can even be used to inspire entire outfits.
