Every year we make a New Year’s Resolution. Eat healthier, go to the gym more and see more of our family. But these always seem so hard to keep. This year Chicastic plans on making a resolution that we know we can keep: dressing more fashionable!
This year we will dress comfortable AND stylish.
No need to dress in your old sweats. This year we plan on looking good and feeling good. So we plan on throwing out those sweatpants and buying more leggings.
Leggings are perfect. They are so comfy to be in all day long and they come in cute styles and colors. You can wear floral, abstract, striped or even plain leggings. The good thing about them is they’re perfect to bring from a day to a night outfit.

This time of year, there are two major factors that come into play when it comes to a late Fall wardrobe; colors and layers. You should stick for the most part to darker colors and earth tones, but that doesn’t mean boring! You can always add a pop of color, without looking like you’re ready for Easter Sunday already. Wearing those colors, like browns, maroons, and dark grey, also opens up a world of possibilities for jewelry and accessories. Layers are important because the weather can be unpredictable this time of year and you may not want to spend the next four months in oversized sweaters. It’s always good to have a few stand-by pieces that can layer with almost anything, like your favorite cardigan .
If you’re attending a formal Thanksgiving celebration, a long sleeve dress in a darker color, with a pair of our heels, in a color like silver or gold to make your outfit a pop, would be perfect. If you can’t find a long sleeved dress, layer with a cardigan that matches your outfit color of choice. A black cardigan is always a safe bet because it can match anything, but dark blue and mustard yellow are also perfect for the Holiday. If your Thanksgiving festivities are more casual, you can always wear a nice pair of dark wash denim with a cute top, but then you can run into the, “on no I ate too much why did I decide to wear jeans!?” conundrum. Anyone with a healthy love of movies, and/or all things 80’s knows that this coming Wednesday is an important day in cinematic history “30 years” in the making! On Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 4:29 Marty Mcfly arrives “in the future!!” The beloved “Back to the Future” trilogy first thrilled audiences with the initial film of the franchise in 1985, and introduced us to Marty McFly, who travels back to 1955 in a Time Machine made out of a DeLorean created by his friend, Doctor Emmett “Doc” Brown. In the second film, released in 1989, but also partially set in 1985, Marty, Doc Brown, Jennifer and Einstein travel 30 years into the future to October 21 2015 to thwart an event that would unravel the future of the McFly family. This film gave us a hilarious view of what folks in the 80’s thought “the future” would look like. Well the future is officially now!
