Dorothy of Oz in the 21st Century

This past Wednesday marked what would have been Judy Garland’s 90th Birthday. The legendary singer/actress is most well known for playing one of the most iconic roles both in literary and film history, Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz.” Almost more iconic than the role itself is the outfit she wore, in particular, her shoes! Today, we’ll tell you how to get an updated version of this classic look.

Pair a blue gingham blouse, or crop top, one of 2015’s biggest trends, with our chiffon skirt in white. This will give you a great modern twist on her Kansas farm girl blue gingham dress.

While we love the idea of carrying an adorable basket around, unfortunately, that’s not very practical in this day and age. As a functional and fashionable substitute, we recommend the Rattan Straw Handbag. It gives you a similar look while still staying modern and has plenty of room for all of your 21st century needs. Toto not included.

Most important to this look are the shoes, of course! Our Rhinestone T-Strap Peep Toes couldn’t be more perfect! The color is rich and the rhinestones give you the perfect amount of glam and sparkle.
